  6.      This crippleware version of Spheres of Influence
  7. requires at least 1 meg of CHIP RAM and AmigaDOS 3.0 or
  8. higher. The compressed file SPHERE29.lha contains many files
  9. needed for the game.

  11.      When you de-compress the SPHERE29.lha file it will create a
  12. new drawer named SOIDATA. The files within this drawer will almost 
  13. fill two standard floppies, so unless you have some other large 
  14. storage device you must de-compress this file on your hard drive.
  15. There will be an icon in the drawer labeled ASSIGNS which you can
  16. double click with the mouse to make the only needed assignment.
  17. This will have to be double clicked each time you run the program
  18. unless you modify your startup sequence (s:user-startup or 
  19. s:startup-sequence.) To modify your startup sequence use the 
  20. AmigaDOS CLI command "Assign" on the SOIDATA drawer:
  21.           Assign SOIDATA: your_harddrive:soidata
  22. so the program may find it's library files.

  24.      De-compress the SPHERE29.lha file with your copy of LhA. The 
  25. executable is a file called "Spheres of Influence". If started 
  26. from the CLI insure that the stack exceeds 150000, it has an icon 
  27. and may be started from the Workbench. Saved games have an icon 
  28. which may be double-clicked or shift selected from the Workbench.

  30.      The file SOIDATA:doc.txt is an ASCII text file which you may 
  31. read using any text editor or word processor (it has NO CARRIAGE
  32. RETURNS except at paragraph ends); it may be printed out
  33. if you wish. The documentation is written for the commercial
  34. two disk version, not this compressed demo version (only the
  35. installation procedure differs); please get help at your local 
  36. user's group if you have trouble getting this version to run on 
  37. your system.

  48. play more than 100 turns--that is the only "crippled" behaviour of
